This stunning project showcases the extraordinary workmanship of Betta Style Kitchens & Joinery, making excellent use of the space and optimising functionality. The client desired a modern and sleek aesthetic with a touch of traditional. Nature-inspired colours and textures were incorporated to create a relaxed mood, with the colour palette bringing the outdoors into the home to create a positive and rejuvenating environment for all members of the family.

The kitchen and walk-in pantry needed to fulfill everyday cooking needs but also be functional and easy to clean. As a busy family with children and one of the clients using a wheelchair, easy maintenance and wheelchair accessibility in all spaces was a must. Betta Style Kitchens & Joinery set about maximising space, storage solutions and workflow distribution, while maintaining symmetrical finishes and a neat appearance.

The thin shaker profile speaks to a modern design with minimal hardware and appliances largely integrated. The team also incorporated LED strip lighting to the underside of the wall cabinets to further enhance the ‘wow’ factor. In keeping with the request for traditional elements, the kitchen has a butler’s sink, a Falcon freestanding oven, a pot filler and the use of aged brass handles and fittings throughout.

A deep green was used to encapsulate nature indoors, paired with embossed finish wall cabinetry. These selections were a winning combination, grounding the cabinetry design while providing a serene, calm environment with an organic and earthy feel. The island bench offers the perfect space to serve buffets or gather guests around, while the porcelain benchtops and splashbacks in darker colours make cleaning more manageable. The custom-made banquette seating perfects the space, winning Best Soft Furnishing in the ACFA awards last year.
