The perfect fusion of shaker-style cabinetry and the modern luxuries of integrated and sleek appliances, this bespoke statement kitchen completed by My Joinery met the homeowners’ brief with astounding results. An open floor plan and raised ceiling tie in with the fresh colour palette of white, black and warm brown stone to create an airy and welcoming atmosphere, while the generous walkways and clearances are ideal for family living and entertaining.
Solidifying the kitchen as an entertainer’s dream, this design centres around an extensive island bench that features seating on two sides. Measuring at 3.2 x 1.4 metres, the island maximises on storage with drawers on one end and cupboards on the other. Pillar corners provide generous leg room and take the shaker-style profile one step further in establishing a sophisticated, elegant Hamptons statement.
A strategic choice to omit the sink from the island bench, stationing it against the window instead, achieved the homeowner’s desire for a decluttered, inviting space. Two ovens were wall mounted at an ergonomic height for the homeowner’s convenience, while a separate cooktop was placed looking on to the horizontal window. Caesarstone ‘Empira White’ was utilised for both the benchtops and backsplash, while the sleek black appliances, fixtures and accents were the perfect choice to balance the traditional and modern aesthetics throughout the kitchen.
Bespoke cabinetry was utilised flawlessly by the ingenious team, integrating the fridge and dishwasher for a decluttered appearance and hiding the double-door entrance into the adjoining laundry. Maximising on the raised ceiling, My Joinery expanded the cabinetry upwards for extra storage and to enhance the sense of space within the room. The final touch on this family-oriented kitchen, is a sleek butler’s pantry that the team seamlessly connected to the kitchen. The cohesive open-plan design of this space ensures ease of use while still tidying away the secondary fridge, sink and appliance for every-day use.
